We're pretty serious about keeping your info safe and sound
Last updated: October 17, 2025
Hey there! Look, we get it - nobody really enjoys reading privacy policies. But since we're asking you to trust us with your information when you're thinking about your dream home or next big project, we figured you deserve to know exactly what we do with it.
At Kytheral Venquinth Architecture, we've been designing sustainable spaces across Toronto and beyond since day one. We handle your personal info the same way we approach our projects - with care, transparency, and a commitment to doing things right.
This policy covers everything we collect through our website, email communications, and when you work with us on architectural projects. If something's unclear or you've got questions, just reach out. We're real people, and we're happy to chat.
When you reach out or work with us, we typically collect:
Like most websites these days, we gather some technical stuff when you visit:
Occasionally we'll get info from third parties - like if you're referred by another firm, or if we're collaborating with engineers or consultants on your project. We'll always let you know when this happens.
We're not in the business of collecting data just for kicks. Here's what we actually do with your info:
Designing your space, coordinating with contractors, getting permits, keeping you updated on progress. You know, the actual work you hired us for.
Responding to inquiries, sending project updates, occasional newsletters about our work (only if you're cool with it), and important service announcements.
Understanding how people use our site so we can make it better. If everyone's bouncing from a certain page, we probably need to fix something.
Meeting our obligations under Canadian law, responding to legal requests, protecting our rights and yours.
Accounting, internal records, quality control, training new team members (with sensitive details removed, of course).
We won't use your personal info for anything substantially different without giving you a heads up first.
We're not selling your data to random marketers or anything sketchy like that. But there are times when we need to share information to get the job done:
We work with other professionals who help us run our business - cloud storage providers, email services, accounting software, project management tools. These folks only get access to what they need to do their job, and they're contractually bound to keep it confidential.
Architects don't work in a vacuum. We'll share relevant info with structural engineers, contractors, interior designers, and other specialists involved in your project. Everyone's bound by professional confidentiality standards.
If we're legally required to disclose information - court orders, government requests, that sort of thing - we will. We'll push back on overly broad requests and notify you when possible, unless we're prohibited from doing so.
In the unlikely event we sell the business or merge with another firm, your information would be part of that transfer. Any new owner would still be bound by this privacy policy.
Sometimes we might want to feature a project in our portfolio or marketing materials. We'll always ask for your explicit permission first, and you can say no without any hard feelings.
Alright, the cookie talk. No, not the delicious kind - these are little data files that help our website work properly.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies, though some features might not work as smoothly. Here's how to manage cookies in popular browsers:
We don't use tracking for targeted advertising. Our focus is on creating great architecture, not following you around the internet.
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA specifically), you've got rights when it comes to your personal information. Here's what you can do:
Ask for a copy of the personal info we have about you. We'll provide it in a readable format.
If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it.
Request that we delete your personal info (with some exceptions for legal/contractual requirements).
Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime. There's an unsubscribe link in every message.
Challenge our use of your information if you think it's not appropriate.
Get your data in a format you can take to another service provider.
We take security seriously - probably more seriously than we take our coffee orders (and that's saying something for architects).
We don't keep your information forever - that'd be creepy and unnecessary. Here's our general approach:
While we're working together, we keep everything we need to deliver your project properly. Pretty straightforward.
We keep project files for 7 years after completion. This is partly for legal reasons (liability stuff) and partly practical - you might need something years down the road, and we want to be able to help.
If you're on our mailing list, we'll keep your contact info until you unsubscribe or the email bounces repeatedly.
If you reach out but we don't end up working together, we'll typically delete your info after 2 years unless you've asked us to keep you updated on our work.
Anonymous usage data is typically kept for 26 months, then automatically deleted.
These are general guidelines. Specific situations might require different retention periods due to legal or contractual obligations. When in doubt, just ask us.
Our services aren't directed at kids. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without parental consent.
If you're under 18 and interested in architecture (awesome!), please have a parent or guardian contact us on your behalf.
If we discover we've accidentally collected info from a child without proper consent, we'll delete it promptly. Parents, if you think this has happened, please contact us immediately at info@kytheralvenquinth.info or call (416) 555-0127.
Things change - technology evolves, laws get updated, our business grows. When we need to modify this privacy policy, here's what'll happen:
We encourage you to check this page occasionally, especially if you're working with us on a project. But honestly, we won't be changing it constantly - our approach to privacy is pretty stable.
Questions? Concerns? Just want to chat about how we handle your data? We're here for it.
